Sharp divisions emerged in the Ad Hoc committee looking into concerns around national security yesterday. This follows National Assembly Speaker, Thoko Didiza's report on the handling of subpoenas for Paul O'Sullivan and Brown Mogotsi. In her report, Didiza warned that Parliament must demonstrate that it has properly engaged with the reasons advanced by the two witnesses, particularly on security and availability, or risk having any subpoenas set aside if challenged in court. While parties across the spectrum insist the witnesses must still appear, members differ sharply on how the Speaker's legal concerns should be addressed. Ntwanano Vuma spoke to Moses Zitha..
